Shatavari or commonly known as Satawar in Pakistan is a herb that belongs to the Asparagaceae family. It comes from the roots of the Asparagus Racemosus. It is native to India and has been used in ancient Ayurveda to treat many diseases for centuries now. It has many names like, “who possesses a hundred husbands or acceptable to many” or “100 spouses”. Also, it is known as the “Queen of herbs” as it plays an important role in balancing hormones in women.
